We are constantly in a state of choice in our lifetime. Whether it is the breakfast option, face cream or a decision in a certain situation.
This choice is directly related to our attitudes, beliefs and values: what we choose, how we understand what we choose, and how it affects changes in our lives.
In this practice we will answer the questions: what are attitudes and beliefs, how to work with them and how to understand their truthfulness from the point of view of your values.
Life attitudes
These are a person’s perceptions of himself and the world around him. They determine choice and reflect quality of life of a person
Psychological attitude
Unconscious thoughts, emotions of a person from his previous experience DETERMINING his actions in different situations
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEFS / ATTITUDES / VALUES
Belief is always formed as a rule.
But value is always a personal choice.
Beliefs answer the question «How?» and «What to do?».
Values — «Why?» and «Why is it important for me?».
There are many beliefs: so many men, so many opinions.
There are few values and they are similar.
Beliefs and values form the attitude.
The most difficult question to set to your attitude is: "What makes me get up in the morning?". The answer should not include duties and obligations.
SOURCES OF FORMATION OF ATTITUDES
4 TYPES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ATTITUDES
BASIC DESTRUCTIVE ATTITUDES:
Idealization of another person and subsequent disappointment in him
Rivalry in personal relationships (husband — wife, mother — daughter)
A belief about another person, his assessment if something happened differently you imagined (he is strict, cruel; he cannot comprehend and listen; he limits freedom, etc.)
Why did you end up in this relationship?
Another one owes me
